  • Congratulations to the following FFA teams for competing at area yesterday and qualifying for state. Overall 1st in Ag Sales—Kinsley Moore placed 1st with high point, Randy Balderas placed 2nd with high point, Autumn Hagen placed  4th with high point, and Madison placed 10th with high point; Overall 2nd in Wool—Trey Wood placed 6th with high point; Overall 4th in Floriculture—Kendall Hagen placed 5th with high point; and Lacey Stevens placed 8th with high point; Overall 4th in Nursery Landscape—Bethany Douglas placed 8th with high point, Lexie Elsik placed 9th with high point, and Avery Falcon placed 10th with high point;  Overall 5th in Farm Business Management—Jordan Haby placed 9th with high point; Overall 8th in Vet Science; Overall 15th in Milk Quality; and Overall 30th in Livestock Evaluation.
  • Congratulations to the Girls Track Team for an impressive performance at the Area track meet at Devine. The top four finishers in each event will advance to the Regional Meet. Pleasanton will send 7 girls to compete at the Regional Track Meet on April 26th and 27th in Kingsville. They are the following: Victoria Castillo is Area Champ in the high jump; Paige Hubert scored 4th place in discus; Caitlyn Nieschwitz placed 4th in 3200 Meter Run and 4th in the 800 Meter Run and 4th place in the 1600 Meter run; Kennedy Guajardo placed 4th in the 400 Meter Dash; and Eryn Wilson, April Findley, Kennedy Guajardo and Laken McAda placed 2nd in the Mile Relay. Great job girls and Good Luck at Regionals!!!
  • Congratulations to the Boys Track Team for an impressive performance at the Are track Meet. The top four finishers in each event will advance to the Regional Meet. Dalton Hobbs is Area Champ in the high jump; Orlando Oltivero is Area Champ in the 800 meter run and placed 3rd in the 400 meter run; Kade Loeffler placed 4th in the 400 meter run; Jaret Statler placed 5th in the pole vault; Estevan Jackson placed 5th in the triple jump; and Orlando Oltivero, Kade Loeffler, Santiago Argujo, and Estevan Jackson placed 2nd in the Mile Relay. Great job boys and Good Luck at Regioanls!!!
  • The softball playoff game for TODAY, April 18th is cancelled due to poor field conditions. The game is moved to MONDAY, April 22nd in Navarro at 6PM.
  • Students: There is a student council meeting TODAY, April 18th, during FOCUS in the library.
  • Seniors: Do you still need to take the TSI test? Sign up with Mrs. Owen in the counseling office. The test is $15. The next session is WEDNESDAY, April 24th, during 6th, 7th & 8th You must have permission from your teachers to miss these class periods. Please bring a signed note from your teachers to Mrs. Owen when you sign up. If you are not a senior and need to take the TSI, check with your counselor.
  • Attention students!  Order your 2019 yearbooks today!  Extra Yearbooks will not be ordered!   See Mrs. Arnold if you want to order with cash or check –to use your debit or card, you can go to jostens.com.  Again, no extra books will be ordered – so order yours today.
  • Students: BPA is selling popcorn in all your favorite flavors:  White Cheddar, Yellow Cheese, Salsa and Cheddar, Vanilla, Caramel, Chocolate, Kettle, and Butter.  Cost is $3/bag or 2 bags for $5!  See any BPA member or Mrs. Olivarri to get your bag today!
  • Students & Faculty: See any HOSA member to purchase a World’s Finest Chocolate candy bar for only  $1.
  • Students: the Athletic Banquet is May 20th at the Pleasanton Civic Center.
  • Seniors: If you have been accepted to a college or have enlisted in the military, PHS will celebrate you on April 30th, by giving you a chance to win a laptop and treats from Dairy Queen at the beginning of Focus. This celebration is part of the statewide Generation Texas celebration. Please go by the counseling office to make sure we have a picture of you with your college acceptance or your counselor has your documentation of college acceptance .
  • Seniors: The will also be very important information given on April 30th during FOCUS about the senior trip.

  • Project Grad would like to recognize the following students from Culinary Arts for assisting with the pancake supper: Inez Cano, Danielle Rodriguez, Claire Benavidez, Neviz Rodriguez, Justin Salazar and AJ Castillo. Thank you to Mrs. Rutherford and these students for volunteering their time to help cook.
  • SENIOR: Herff Jones will be on campus during both lunches TODAY, April 17th to deliver graduation orders.
  • Have a sweet treat and message delivered to a friend or even a staff member. Lifeskills will sell Easter Grams for $1.00 during both lunches TODAY April 17th. Easter Grams will be delivered during FOCUS on THURSDAY, April 18th.

  • Students and Staff Project Grad will be hosting a Pancake Dinner TODAY, 6-9 pm in the high school cafeteria, plates are $7 that includes pancakes, sausage, bacon and drinks. You can also take photos with the Easter Bunny.
  • Seniors: if you still need to take the TSI test, sign up with Mrs. Owen in the counseling office and bring $15 to test. Sessions will be on Wed, April 17 and April 24 during 6th - 8th period. You must have permission from your teachers to miss these class periods. Please bring a signed note from your teachers to Mrs. Owen when you sign up. If you are not a senior and need to take the TSI, check with your counselor.
  • Students & Faculty: See any HOSA member to purchase a World’s Finest Chocolate candy bar for only  $1. Thank you!
  • Attention Seniors. The Senior Trip this year will be to Garner State Park on Friday, May 24th. We’ll hang out at the river, float the Frio, and cook out. More information coming up this month. The trip is FREE to seniors. If you are interested in going with your classmates, let your Social Studies teacher know by Friday, April 12th. Again, you will let Ms. Laws or Mr. Sivage know. By showing interest, it does not obligate you to go. If you do not have Ms. Laws or Mr. Sivage for a social studies teacher, please stop by the freshman hallway to let Ms. Sims or Ms. Minniear know. We just need to get a count to get started. Since the trip is on a school day, 90% attendance rules would apply. Thank you, from Mrs. Sims and Mrs. Minniear.
