Pledges  

  • I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Moment of Silence

  • Students: Coach Ver’s third period class will report to the Library TODAY, April 12th.
  • Students and Staff: The tennis court parking lot, next to the cafeteria, will be closed beginning TODAY, April 12th. Students can park in the parking lot across the street from the library or in the PAC parking lot.
  • Junior and Seniors: You may pick up your prom invitation from your US History, Government,  and or Economics teacher, TODAY, April 12th.
  • Students: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its first meeting of the year on TONIGHT, April 12th, at 7:30pm in the field house.
  • Students: Rex Formal Wear will be on campus TOMORROW, April 13th during FOCUS to take tuxedo orders in the library. Tuxedos will range in price from $120 to $150, shoe are $16 and don’t forget to add taxes. Deposit for rental is $40. They will deliver on Thursday, April 29th, right before prom and pick up tuxedos Monday morning, May 4th, after prom.
  • Juniors and Seniors: Are you interested in joining the military? Maybe you are not sure what you want to do for a career. Sign up for the ASVAB test. Taking the test does not commit you to the military and it has a great career inventory. The ASVAB test will be on WEDNESDAY, April 14th, at 7:45 AM in the PHS library. There is a google form posted on the PHS Guidance and Counseling page to sign up.
  • Seniors: Your casual panoramic is scheduled for THURSDAY, April 15th at 1:45 in front of the Sports Complex, the new gym. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to be present, if you are not at school during FOCUS.
  • Sophomores: You will take a class picture wearing your class shirt on April 29th, during Focus.  If you want to be included in the picture - buy a shirt NOW.  The shirts are $10.  See Mrs. Black or any class officer.
  • Attention Seniors:  The project graduation raffle ticket booklets are ready for pick up in the library.  Each senior is asked to sell one booklet of 10 tickets.  Raffle tickets are $10 each.  The raffle will help raise money to go towards providing an amazing Project Graduation experience for you and your classmates.  Each booklet you sell earns you an extra ticket in the prize drawing at project graduation.

  • Students and Staff: The tennis court parking lot, next to the cafeteria is closed for construction on the new tennis courts. Students may park in the parking lot across from the library or in the PAC parking lot.
  • Students: Would you like to get rid of tardies? There will be Thursday night school on THURSDAY, April 15th, from 4 to 6PM with Mrs. Alexander in room 503. The student is responsible for taking class work or a book to read, or the student will be asked to leave and not receive credit.
  • Junior and Seniors: Check with your US History, Government,  and/or Economics teacher for your prom invitation.

Moment of Silence

  • Pleasanton High JROTC recently participated in the Best of the West Drill Meet with teams entered in the Armed Drill Unarmed Drill, and Color Guard categories. The Armed Drill Team, led by Cadet Captain Jared Griego captured 2nd Place out of 14 schools in the Regulation Drill Category. An honorable mention is given to our two Color Guard Teams who placed 6th and 7th out of the 24 teams competing for top honors.  The commanders of our color guard teams were Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Edward Uhl and Cadet Captain Ashley Mahavier.

Moment of Silence

  • Congratulations to the Lady Eagles golf team.  They finished as the District 27-4A runner-up at last week's district golf tournament and have qualified for the Region 4 golf tournament.  The team of Lacey Stevens, Sadie McAda, Blaise Diaz, Ashlyn Vera, and Victoria Urbanczyk shot a season's best team score of 789.  Lacey Stevens finished as the 2nd place medalist overall with a score of 159.  The Lady Eagles will compete at the Region 4 Golf Tournament on Monday April 19th and Tuesday April 20th at Colony Creek Golf Club in Victoria.  Good luck ladies.

Moment of Silence

  • Congratulations to the Eagle golf team.  The Eagles finished as District 27-4A Champions at last week's district golf tournament.  The team of Travis Garcia, Matt Garcia, Reed Fister, Jake Casias and Brady Stevens shot a season's best team score of 626.  All five members finished in the top six as medalists.  Travis Garcia was the district champion medalist with a two-day score of 145. Matt Garcia finished as the second-place medalist with a score of 159 and Reed Foster finished tied for third with a score of 160.  The Eagles will next compete at the Region 4 tournament on Wednesday April 21st and Thursday April 22nd at Colony Creek Golf Club in Victoria.  Good Luck Men.

  • Students:  The counselors are wrapping course request for next year.  Please do not come by the counseling office asking for changes.  All course requests are being entered in our system and a copy of your courses for next year will be mailed home in your 5th six weeks report card.  At that time, if there is an error or you want to change something, there will be instructions and deadlines for making changes.  Please be sure to watch for your report card in the mail at home the first week of May.
