Announcements

  • Students: The photographer is here to take yearbook and ID badge pictures. Freshmen will be taken TODAY. Pictures will be taken this morning so make sure you are here with a smile.
  • Yearbook: This year’s yearbook theme is ‘The story behind the mask’.  Please share a photo or selfie wearing your favorite mask.  To submit your photo, go to the Library website and look for the ‘yearbook Photo Submission” link.  Photos will be featured in the 2020-2021 yearbook.  Deadline to submit photos TOMORROW, September 18th.
  • Seniors: On MONDAY, September 21st, there will be a Senior Parent College Readiness Meeting at 6:00 pm in the PHS cafeteria. Seniors and their parents are invited to receive information about the college application process, financial aid, and scholarships.
  • Students: Are you ready to take Driver’s Ed? The next class will start on TUESDAY, September 22nd.  The class will be offered online using Google Classroom.  Go by room 203 to pick up an application.
  • Hey BPAers!  Are you ready to get down to business for 2021??  Come to an informational meeting on WEDNESDAY, September 23rd in Mrs. Olivarri's room 509 at 4:15.  Come and find out how Pleasanton BPA is going to dominate at Regionals, State, and Nationals!
  • Students: Homecoming is next week, September 25th.  The theme this year is “Lettuce Celebrate”.  Dress up each day and show your PHS pride.  Monday, September 21st is “Thousand Island” dress tropical; Tuesday, September 22nd is “Chopped” in two, twin day; Wednesday, September 23rd is “Ranch” dress country and western; Thursday, September 24th is “Tossed” or generation day—freshmen dress as babies, sophomores as college students, juniors as middle aged or working adults and seniors as senior citizens.  Friday, September 25th is “House” wear green, bling and mums to show your eagle pride.  Stop by the library to take a picture and be entered in the daily dress up contest.
  • Students: The first HOSA meeting of the year will be on September 29th during FOCUS in Mrs. Cooks’ room 701. You must check in with your FOCUS teacher first.
  • Distance Learners: The photographer will be on campus to take yearbook and ID badge pictures on September 29th, from 4-6 PM. Entrance will be through the library doors. You must wear a face covering to enter.
  • Hey Sophomores and Juniors! The PSAT test will be on October 14th , it costs $17.  This is a great way to practice a college entrance exam!  Please go to your Class’ Google Classroom for more information and a link to sign up (Class of 2022 and Class of 2023).
  • Hey Seniors! There will be a School Day SAT test on October 14th, it will cost up to $35.  This is the perfect time to get your SAT test done!  Please go to the Class of 2021 Google Classroom and follow the link to sign up.
  • Students: You can pay off part of your prom ticket or earn NHS service hours by working in the concession stand.Sign up with Ms. Schmidt in Room 412 this morning. Only five students are allowed to work each time.
  • Students: Everyone is welcome to be a member of Student Council. Dues are $5.  Join us to find out what student council is about. If you have, any questions see Mrs. Moos in the library or Mr. Garcia in room 613.
  • Students: Are you interested in Spanish Club? See Ms. Mendoza Del Bosque in room 603 by the library.
  • Students: Do you have your driving permit? Are you ready to practice behind the wheel instruction? Sign up for driving hours With Mrs. Downs by room 203.  If you took the class at PHS, check your Google Classroom to sign up on the calendar.

Announcements

  • Congratulations to the 2020 Homecoming class representatives. Freshmen  - Ciarah Garcia, Marisol Villarreal, Adrian Garcia and Andre Garcia; Sophomores - Riley Porter, Brylee Miller, Michael Castillo and Ayden Parker; Juniors – Autumn Guerra, Natalie Muniz, Justin Veale and Oscar Leal; Seniors - Claudia Acuff, Kimberly Arguijo, Heaven Marquez, Aurianna Rich, Gabriel Bosquez, Blake Moos, Devyn Garza, and Orlando Oltivero. Voting for homecoming king and queen will be TUESDAY, September 22nd.  The link to vote will be posted on the library website.

Announcements

  • Our Pleasanton High School JROTC had the distinct honor of providing the official color guard for this year's Mexican Independence Day Celebration in San Antonio, Texas.  This virtual event, hosted by the Office of the Consulate General of Mexico will be televised TONIGHT, September 15th at 8:00 PM on numerous Facebook live streaming locations to include Univison, the Consulate General of Mexico's Facebook page and the City of San Antonio Arts and Culture Facebook page.   Please tune in to see the following JROTC Cadets perform color guard duties in support of this annual celebration:  Cadet LTC Edward Uhl, Cadet CSM Simon Karsky, Cadet CPT Aries Uhl, and Cadet CPT Jared Griego.  Each student will receive a special recognition from the Consulate General of Mexico for their outstanding performance.

  • Students: There is a student council meeting TODAY, September 15th, during FOCUS in the old gym. You must check in with your FOCUS teacher first. All are welcome and dues are $5.

Announcements

  • Students: Tardies will begin TOMORROW, September 15th.
  • Students: Please do not park in the area marked off with traffic cones at the PAC. Our Mighty Eagle Band uses this area in the morning for practice.
  • Students: Jumping fences into another person’s property is not friendly, and it can result in more serious actions. Please take the time to walk around, do not go through another person’s yard. Be responsible; let us show the community that Pleasanton ISD students are good neighbors.
