Announcements

  • Students: Eagle Powerlifting will have their preseason meeting TOMORROW, November 17th at exactly 7:30 AM in the fieldhouse weight room. Practice and lifting sessions will begin at 7 AM.  To participate you must have a current physical on file with our training staff and have updated your rank one profile.  We have a great core of lifters and are looking forward to more success in powerlifting this year.  
  • SENIORS: Memories on Main St. will be on campus this week for senior cap & gown photos. All students must be in dress code; this also means no facial hair or face piercings. TOMORROW, November 17th is scheduled for the senior boys and THURSDAY, November 19th the for senior girls. Suggested shirt for boys will be a white shirt with a collar.
  • Students: Do you love to sing or just love talking about music? Join Mrs. Carmen Harris in room 903 for Music Club at 4PM on WEDNESDAY, November 18th. Auditions are not required but welcomed. 
  • Students: Thanksgiving lunch will be served in the cafeteria on THURSDAY, November 19th. This is a closed event, no parents or guests will be allowed.
  • Students: Please drop nonperishable food items by the library.  Choose if you want to donate to Mrs. Guajardo, Mr. Macias or Mrs. Minniear’s stack.  Whichever administrator gets the most items has to dress up like Big E on FRIDAY.  Each item donated also gets you a ticket in the drawing for a chance to win a free vehicle detail and wax valued at $150. FFA, HOSA, NHS and student council will hold the annual food drive through FRIDAY, November 20th
  • Sophomores: The HOBY State Leadership Seminar application process is now open.  Please find the information sheet in your English 2 or World History class or go by the Counseling Office.  Application packets are due no later than FRIDAY, November 20th at 4PM.

  • Students: Teachers and staff will no longer give reminders or warnings for students to wear their masks appropriately covering their nose and mouth on campus. Teachers will send students to the office if students are seen with their masks not worn appropriately covering their nose and mouth.
  • Teachers & Staff: You must send students to the office if they are not wearing their masks appropriately covering their nose and mouth. This is not an option—it is a matter of safety for all students, teachers, staff and their extended families.

  • Hey students, be on the lookout today for the new and improved Mr. Macias. Thank you to everyone who donated food to the NHS, FFA, HOSA and Student Council food drive. You all have made a difference in your community.
  • Students: Merry on Main is December 4th and 5th. They are looking for volunteers, so if you are looking for service hours, see Mrs. Tom in room 306 or visit the website merryonmain.org to sign up.
