This should be an exciting new school year and I look forward to working with all of our wonderful young ladies and gentlemen.

The quickest way to reach me is via email or text message.  If you would like to speak to me on the phone, I will call you.  Just send me your name, the name of the student, and the best number/time to call and I will do my best to call you at that time.  If you do not hear from me within 24 hours, please email me again as I may not have received your message.  Your questions and concerns are very important to me, so feel free to contact me anytime and I will do my best for you and your student.
 
Tutoring is available as needed after or before school Monday and Thursday upon request. I may be available additional times and can make arrangements for students as needed. Students just need to come and talk to me to prearrange a session.

Community Service Opportunity through San Antonio Sports!

San Antonio Sports Volunteer,
 
Spring is in the air!  Check out some of our wonderful volunteer opportunities we have this spring.
 
Saturday April 15 is the San Antonio Sports i play! afterschool Najim Tennis Tournament at McFarlin Tennis Center. Volunteers are needed to assist as court monitors and scorekeepers.
 
Saturday May 13 San Antonio Sports Fit Family Challenge kicks off with the District 4 Heroes 5k at Port San Antonio. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, water stations, and handing out food, water and medals.
 
To start off the summer, we have the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup on Saturday June 3. This is a fun, action-packed day where local businesses compete against each other. Volunteers help as scorekeepers, game monitors and assist with set-up and tear down.
 
Our friends at the Alamo Run Fest will need some help this week, March 30- April 2. If you are interested in volunteering for the run please visit www.alamorunfest.com and click on "volunteer."

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed to work concession stand Friday afternoon from 4 pm – 10 pm for baseball/softball games. Please see Mrs. Owen in the counseling office to sign up.

Atascosa County Head Start Program Needs Volunteers...Group Hours!

The Head Start  program in Atascosa county will be having an event at the Cowboy Fellowship to recruit children for next school year and needs volunteers.  This event will be on Saturday April 1st from 9am-1pm and will have different community vendors, free games, free food and drinks.  If you are interested in helping out with the games, please contact Angelica Kiser at 830-928-2091 to sign up.  She will sign off on community service hours so take your log sheet with you.  Please let her know if any of you are interested as soon as possible.

The Pleasanton Express Needs Volunteers! (Group Hours)

The Pleasanton Express is helping with the first ever Doc’s Kiddie Corral this weekend. The event is sponsored by Dr. Michael McFarland and the Sack Races are sponsored by Wilco Peanut Company.
 
They will need 4-5 volunteers over a 4 hour period (shifts would be fine, would just need more volunteers) on Saturday, March 11 during Cowboy Homecoming/Turn N Burn at the Kiddie Corral located at the soccer field. There is no age minimum to volunteer for that area.
 
The area will be for children ages 2-10 and will have various games and activities for them to do such as: Peanut Sack Race, Digging for Gold, Longhorn Roping, Cowboy Duckling Roping, Crayola Corral, Bottle Ring Toss, Outlaw Photo Booth.

Turn and Burn cookoff information:
March 11th, Pleasanton River Park.
We need help with:
1).  Ten Judging Assistants from 10:15 AM – 6:30 PM
Assistants may cycle in and cycle out, but 10 bodies needed at all times:
♣ Move trays throughout tables
♣ Monitor tables during judging
♣ Discard culled trays
♣ Replenish water, pickles, crackers, forks, and knives
♣ Set up tables for each round and each category
♣ Discard trash from judging area
♣ Assist Head Judges as needed

Softball Concession Stand NEEDS Volunteers!

Softball Concessions NEEDS help Friday starting @ 4 pm through end of soccer games-Speak to Mrs. Owen in the counseling office ASAP to work.
 
Individual Hours...take your community service log for NHS to have it signed if you are an NHS member needing hours!

Track Needs Volunteers! - Individual Hours

Coach Rutland needs volunteers to work the HS track meet this Thursday, March 2nd starting at 4:00 and the JH meet this Friday, March 3rd also starting at 4:00. Show up at the track on either of the two days and find Coach Rutland and he will put you to work.  
 
Make sure you take your hour log and have him sign off on the time worked.

The Track club will have a concession stand open for 2 track meets on March 2nd & 3rd would love to have some student helpers.  The High School meet is Thurs. and the Junior High meet is on Fri.  It will be open from around 3pm till the end of the meet (approximately 10:30).   They would greatly appreciate help from any NHS member who is in need of hours.
 
They will need help from about 3:00 until 10:30 but would appreciate help if you can only work an hour or two.  Mrs. Lopez would like to know in advance what hours you will be able to work, but will take walk-ins if they don't have enough volunteers signed up in advance.  Just check in with her to find out if they still need help if you find that you are able to work at the last minute.
 
Make sure you take your "hour sheet" with you so the supervising adult can sign off on your time worked...it is the NHS volunteer's responsibility to get proper documentation of hours worked on the day of the event!

Volunteers Needed!

Stephanie Woodlee is in charge of the concession stand for this season for the Pleasanton Little League. They need volunteers to work the concession stand. They have a full day opening on March 25 and will need help NHS members/volunteers can come and work in shifts to get hours.  More games will be posted as needed or speak to Ms. Woodlee about other game days.

Panoramic Flyer 01-24-17

Proud Senior Parents!!!

Weather permitting on Tuesday, January 24th, the seniors will take their casual panoramic photo. The photo session time is set for 3rd period.

On January 25th, during both lunches, Lourdermilk Panoramic will be in the cafeteria selling the panoramic photographs. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

San Antonio Sports Needs Volunteers - NHS Individual Hours

Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio Marathon weekend is almost here and we still and we need volunteers!

Saturday Dec. 3 is KiDS ROCK
Children have their own race. KIDS ROCK is returning to Brackenridge Park and volunteers are needed for the start line, finish line and registration.

Saturday Dec. 3 is the 10K Race
Runners participate in a 10K race through downtown San Antonio. Volunteers are needed for the start line, finish line and water stations.

Sunday Dec. 4 is Marathon Race Day 
We need 500 volunteers to help at the start line, finish line, and gear check. New this year... shorter shifts! Food and refreshment are provided for volunteers, along with a Race Crew shirt and backpack.
