  • Support the volleyball girls in their games against Poteet tonight at 5, 6, and 7.  students with an ID and wearing green will get in half price.
  • Students: Voting for Homecoming king and queen is October 26th.
  • 2018 Yearbooks are now on sale.  You can order yours online at www.jostensyearbooks.com or see Mrs. Arnold for more information!  The yearbooks cost $55 during the month of October, so order yours soon!  Go check it out online and see the new icons available for personalizing your book this year! 
  • Students: Would you like to try out for the Pleasanton Eagles boys’ basketball team?  Please see Coach Ricardo Marquez on MONDAY, October 23rd or TUESDAY, October 24th after school in the sports complex gym (boys’ coaches office) to sign up for tryouts.  Tryouts will be held on WEDNESDAY, October 25th and THURSDAY, October 26th in the old high school gym after school.   You need to have a physical on file and online paperwork must be completed to participate. Go to the Pleasanton ISD athletic website for paperwork.
  • Attention Class of 2021: Be involved…help create your class crasher on October 21st.
  • Students: Join the Comic Book Club! Meetings are on Tuesday after school in Mr. Hurley’s room 205.
  • PHS would like to honor veterans.  Please take to the library a picture of a veteran in your life, that you would like displayed on the honor wall.  We would like to include their branch of service and their relationship to you.
  • Attention PHS students the 2017 homecoming theme has been decided.  It is “There’s no Place Like Homecoming”.  It’s time to start planning your Homecoming week dress attire.  Monday is “Lions and tigers and bears OH My!”.   Dress up like an animal or bring a stuffed animal to school.  Tuesday is “Twister Tuesday”.  Dress crazy or wacky.  Wednesday is “Which Witch is Which”, twin day.  Thursday is “We’re not at PHS anymore”, generation day.  Freshmen dress like babies. Sophomores dress like  toddlers/preschool.  Juniors dress like college students.  Seniors dress like senior citizens.  Friday is “Oz the Great and Powerful”, dress in green and bling.  Make sure you stop by the library each day you dress up to take a picture to be entered in the contest. Remember you must be in dress code.
  • Students: Have you taken Teen Leadership?  Would you like to take a field trip to Houston to join other Teen Leadership students from across the country in a one day celebration of awesomeness?  Wednesday, November 8th, 50 lucky current and former Teen Leadership students will be going to the Lead Worthy event in Houston.  If you want to be one of those 50 students see Coach Bird in room 617 for more details.

See a HOSA member, Mrs. Cook or Mrs. McDowell for your shirt. 
  • Do you like to read comics? Do you like to watch Flash or Arrow or Agents of Shield on TV? Do you want to know who would win in a fight between Superman and Thor? Could you argue for hours about who the best character is? If any of these apply to you, then you should be in the the Comic Book Club! Meeting every Tuesday after school in Mr Hurley’s room 205.
